Though the conditions were not ideal, the Omaha Storm Chasers and Edmonton Edge came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
Omaha Storm Chasers starter Matias Roberts was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the Edmonton Edge, 5-1. Roberts yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 9. His record improves to 14-8.
Omaha left fielder Lucas Hansen contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 104th hit of the season and put the Storm Chasers ahead, 2-1.
"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Aarón Lomeli. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
The Storm Chasers saw their record improve to 60-64.
