Edge 7-1 Losers to Sidewinders
|
Tucson pitcher Trey Spinney had a large part in his team beating the Edmonton Edge, 7-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jace Garr collected his 2nd save. Tucson is now 60-58.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Don Gardiner? The Tucson designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Sidewinders on top, 4-1. For the game, Gardiner had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Spinney told the Tucson Times.
