Aces Suffer 7-2 Loss to Wranglers
|
Elijah Gomez, who is tied for 3rd in the PCL in triples with 5, led Oklahoma City to a win over Reno. The final score was 7-2. Gomez scored 2 times, while going 2 for 3. The right fielder also was credited with 1 run batted in. Oklahoma City has now won 4 in a row.
Evan Bledsoe had a big 3-run home run for the Wranglers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Oklahoma City leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Nolan Becker, who is rated as the 6th best prospect by BNN, and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 13th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wranglers ahead, 4-0.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Bledsoe told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
