Baby Cakes Tag Chihuahuas with 4-1 Loss
|
Pitcher Chance Jones was rock solid in helping the New Orleans Baby Cakes beat the El Paso Chihuahuas, 4-1. Jones, now 5-6, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 1, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Carter Alberti got credit for the save for New Orleans. It was his 9th of the year.
Paul Madison chipped in a solo home run for New Orleans in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
