River Cats Rally to Win, 4-3
|
The Sacramento River Cats did just enough to secure a victory over the Omaha Storm Chasers, 4-3, in 10 innings at Werner Park. Nobody did more than pitcher José Ricardo. Sacramento reliever Artie Rice picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Santiago González took the loss. Rutledge Venable, credited with the save, is now 5 for 8 in save opportunities.
Landon House had a direct impact on the outcome. House contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Sacramento up, 4-3.
"The vibe's good," said Sacramento manager Brandon Holmes. "We've got to keep it going."
The second-place River Cats now have a record of 64-54.
