The Reno Aces picked up a win at Blues Stadium, knocking off the Edmonton Edge, 4-3. Starting pitcher Nathan McCalip was a big reason why. McCalip, the winner, moves to 2-3. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Biff Wood collected save number 5.

Reno shortstop Darius D'Annolfo contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 34th hit of the season and put the Aces ahead, 4-0.

"Nathan just settled in and did what he does," said Reno manager Ross Winfrey.

The Aces win now puts them at 48-65.
