The losses keep piling up for the Victoria HarbourCats.

The 7-6 El Paso win over Victoria was due largely to Isaiah Freeman. The Chihuahuas shortstop went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The save was Frasquito Duran's, his 15th.

New Orleans, Louisiana-born Fred Fiore came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Chihuahuas trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single to center to put El Paso on top.

Fiore told a El Paso Daily News reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."

The 6th-place Chihuahuas have won 4 consecutive games.
