New Orleans Beats Reno in Extra Innings
The New Orleans Baby Cakes beat the Reno Aces, 3-1, at Blues Stadium. Starting pitcher Jayden Lungren was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. New Orleans reliever Cato Ambros picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Nathan McCalip absorbed the loss. New Orleans is second in the Pacific Coast League American Divison with a record of 63-52.

Clint Hewitt delivered a big hit for New Orleans. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 14th inning to put the Baby Cakes ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Everybody in here is a professional. You have to do what you have to do," said Lungren.
