The Tacoma Rainiers defeated the El Paso Chihuahuas, 7-2, in Pacific Coast League action at Cheney Stadium. Tacoma pitcher Jeremiah Rector had a standout performance. Tacoma occupies second place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division at 68-44.

The Rainiers picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"Jeremiah made some big pitches when he needed to," said Rainiers manager Chris McCollum.
