Isotopes Claim 3-2 Triumph
The Albuquerque Isotopes and Inland Empire 66ers played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

The bats were silent much of the day at Isotopes Park. But 25-year old third baseman Dustin Lange produced just enough offense to carry the Isotopes past the Inland Empire 66ers, 3-2. Lange was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. Vic Mallery closed the door for Albuquerque, picking up his 15th save of the year.

Lange had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Ronald Landreaux, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Isotopes a 3-2 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Lange.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Lange.

At 61-50, Albuquerque is in 4th place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.
