Despite a great performance by New Orleans right fielder Napoleon Scorza, the Sacramento River Cats defeated the Baby Cakes by the score of 6-5 at Zephyr Field. Scorza was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Manuel Nunez closed it out for Sacramento, earning his 7th save. The losing skid has reached 6 games for New Orleans.

Sacramento used the hitting of Javier Feliz to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the River Cats on top, 3-0. For the game, Feliz had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
