The Iowa Cubs wiggled past the Sacramento River Cats, 4-3, in 10 innings at Principal Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Iowa pitcher Noam Bennett. The win went to Skip Schott Jr. in relief. His record improves to 3-6. Antonio Serrato took the loss. The Cubs now have a mark of 51-60.

The Cubs got a clutch hit from shortstop Alexander Capilla. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cubs.

"Noam was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Iowa manager Tony Osorio.
