Krodel Goes Deep Twice in 7-5 Blue Wahoos Win
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos grabbed a win, 7-5, over the Frisco RoughRiders at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Pensacola first baseman Matt Krodel went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. D.J. Yanes, the winning pitcher, is now 7-9. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 1. P.J. Mason collected save number 24.

It could have been a different outcome for Pensacola, had it not been for Rich Koster, the 26-year old catcher . Koster contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Pensacola up, 2-0.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Pensacola manager Bill Ortiz.

The 5th-place Blue Wahoos now have a record of 56-52.
