BlueClaws Pull Out Late-Game Win, 1-0
The Lakewood BlueClaws did just enough to sneak past the Rome Braves, 1-0, at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Lakewood pitcher Jamarcus Allen, in particular, had a standout performance. Lakewood reliever Ike Bowman picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Ezra Wallace absorbed the loss. The BlueClaws lead the South Atlantic League Northwest Division by a game.

Glen Roberts clinched the win with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the ninth. In the game, the Lakewood center fielder went 1 for 3 with 2 walks.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Roberts told the Lakewood Citizen.
