Due in large part to left fielder Bartholomew Douglas, the Delmarva Shorebirds sunk the Savannah Bananas, 6-3. Douglas was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Collin Holm picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 6-1. Brian Vogler suffered the loss. Delmarva currently is in 6th place in the South Atlantic League Northwest Division at 60-58.

Douglas had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch cutter from Brian Vogler, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Shorebirds a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Douglas.

"It was a solid team effort," said Douglas after the game.
