The West Virginia Power beat the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 8-4. West Virginia pitcher and Westminster, Colorado, native Alberto Parra led the way. The Power sit in 5th place in the South Atlantic League Northwest Division with a record of 58-59.

Nicolas González, who is tied for 5th in the SAL in stolen bases with 20, helped out the West Virginia cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.

"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said González.
