Detroit took on Philadelphia in front of a lively crowd.

No one was more impactful than Diego Ruiz in the 14-5 Detroit win over Philadelphia. Ruiz was 2-5 with a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Jason Lamar, credited with the win, is now 4-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits. Joshua Rusch recorded the save for Detroit, his 10th of the season.

Ruiz had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Rob Taylor, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Tigers a 7-5 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Ruiz.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Ruiz said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The Tigers now have a mark of 25-28.
