The Kannapolis Intimidators topped the Hagerstown Suns, 3-2, in South Atlantic League action at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Kannapolis pitcher and Whiteriver, Arizona, native Stewie Asher. The Intimidators saw their win-loss record go to 77-37. At the same time, the Suns fell to 82-32.

Peyton Barham, who is tied for 8th in the SAL in triples with 5, aided the Kannapolis cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Barham said.
