Corpus Christi Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Corpus Christi Hooks beat the San Antonio Missions, 4-3, at Whataburger Field. Corpus Christi designated hitter Hugo Herrera had an outstanding performance. He was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. The win makes Corpus Christi 55-53.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Corpus Christi trailing 3-2, Carlos Ramírez hit a splitter from Louis Wright to right for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Hooks had a walk-off win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Ramírez said.
