The Chattanooga Scouts beat the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 10-4, at AT&T Field. Luke Earl, in particular, was impressive. He went 2-4 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. The 6th-place Scouts hiked their record to 45-58.

Paul Hawkinson had a big 2-run double for the Scouts in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Chattanooga leading 4-3 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Charles Shelton and swatted a double to center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Scouts ahead, 6-3.

"I like winning," Earl told the Chattanooga Daily. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
