Aces Knock Off Flying Squirrels at Blue Wahoos Stadium
|
The Alexandria Aces got a stellar performance from pitcher Ken Balog, who handcuffed the St. Petersburg offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Balog went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-3. Alexandria is now 45-56.
With two out in the bottom of the fifth, Roden Abood put Alexandria in front, 3-2, with a run-scoring single. The Aces went on to win the ballgame.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Balog told the Alexandria Chronicle.
