66ers Keep Streak Alive with Late Rally
Matt Weber impressed in the 13-6 Inland Empire win over El Paso. Weber, who is tied for 2nd in the PCL in extra base hits with 48, went 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Jeremy Bagby earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. He upped his record to 3-2. The 66ers, at 64-43, sit in second place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Ray Fernández came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing El Paso pitcher Courtney Wilson, he hit a 1-1 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Inland Empire on top, 7-6.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Weber.
