Eli Zile was superb against Omaha. The right-hander, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2056 draft, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Sidewinders victory. The score was 5-1. The save was credited to Dylan Pearson, his 1st. Tucson now has a record of 58-48 with the win.
Tucson designated hitter Seth Engle contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 31st hit of the season and put the Sidewinders ahead, 4-1.
"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Engle after the game.
