Though he had a stellar game, Bobby Angel could not prevent his team, the Oklahoma City Wranglers, from losing, 5-4, to the Reno Aces. Angel was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Yonelvy Herrera wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save. By defeating Oklahoma City, the last-place Aces improved to 38-66.

Elwyn Katiyo drove in one run for Reno. The 29-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Bruce Scott. It was his 9th RBI of the season.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Katiyo told the Reno Bulletin.
