Inland Empire got a first-rate effort from pitcher Logan Gates, who frustrated Omaha hitters en route to a 3-1 66ers triumph at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Alvin Farrenkopf sewed up the save, his 1st. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the 66ers.
Ethan Chestnut drove in one run for Inland Empire. The 26-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Johnny Roberts. It was his 9th RBI of the season.
"All in all, I thought Logan pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Inland Empire manager J.D. Fayson.
