Langlois Lifts HarbourCats to 5-2 Win
|
Thanks in large part to left fielder Trajano Langlois, the Victoria HarbourCats beat the Oklahoma City Wranglers, 5-2. Langlois was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Sammie Ortiz picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 4-8. The HarbourCats win now puts them at 43-59.
With Victoria trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Langlois hit a fastball from Gunnar Thomson for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the HarbourCats ahead, 3-1.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Victoria manager Ricky Ugalde. "It's usually not just one thing."
