The Virginia Black Bears and Cleveland Indians were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Cleveland Indians starter Rick Van Hemert was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Virginia Black Bears, 8-2. In 7.2 innings, Van Hemert surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs.
Antony Olguin, the 24-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Olguin contributed a run-scoring strikeout in the top of the sixth inning to put Cleveland up, 3-2.
