Steve Walker did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Edmonton Edge from being beaten, 6-3, to the Round Rock Express at Dell Diamond. Walker went 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 times. Ron Black was called on to finish, recording his 12th save. The Express move to 53-50 with the win, while the Edge drop to 47-56.

Ralph Robinson had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Express. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Round Rock trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single.

Robinson attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
