The Victoria HarbourCats and New Orleans Baby Cakes played an entertaining game for Zephyr Field patrons.

The Victoria HarbourCats had to overcome a fine effort from New Orleans pitcher Ash Watson to win, 5-4, at Zephyr Field. Watson went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The HarbourCats win now puts them at 60-39.

Victoria used a timely hit from Bruce Taylor to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the HarbourCats ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

Taylor attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
