Sounds Drop HarbourCats, 5-2
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Nashville Sounds and Victoria HarbourCats.
Nashville picked up a win at First Tennessee Park, bumping off the Victoria HarbourCats, 5-2. Pitcher Gabe Terry was a major reason the Sounds emerged victorious. Terry got the win, improving to 10-7. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Samuel Abbott sewed up the save, his 7th.
Luke Pelletier, the 6th overall pick in the 2054 draft, helped out the Nashville cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 singles.
"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Terry.
Nashville has a record of 47-51, placing them 5th in the Pacific Coast League American Divison.
