Eberspacher, Wranglers March to 8-1 Victory
|
The Oklahoma City Wranglers stopped the Sacramento River Cats, 8-1, behind an impressive performance from Jason Eberspacher. The 25-year old first baseman made life miserable for Sacramento pitching. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Picking up the win was Carson Ward. He went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The right--hander struck out 7 and walked 0. Earning the save was Tyree Elder. He's now cashed in 1 of 1 save opportunities.
Eberspacher had a key at-bat for Oklahoma City in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Oklahoma City an early 3-0 lead.
"Put the ball in play and good things will happen," said Eberspacher.
The 'W' lifts Oklahoma City's record to 40-55.
