Victory Pushes Sounds Record to 55-40
|
The Nashville Sounds beat the Round Rock Express, 7-1. Nashville pitcher and Chicago, Illinois, native Willie Beaulieu led the way. With the win over Round Rock, the Sounds improved to 55-40.
In the bottom of the fourth, Sandro Carboni delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Nashville center fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Sounds in front, 7-1.
Sounds manager Darius Hogan raved about Beaulieu after the game. "I thought Willie was 'lights out.'"
