Cubs Shut Out Edge, 4-0
|
The Iowa Cubs called upon starter Ronnie Rembert, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Edmonton Edge, 4-0. The Cubs saw their win-loss record go to 38-57. At the same time, the Edge fell to 58-37.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the third inning, but Rembert was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Edmonton trailing 1-0, Rembert retired Dave Mrozek, who grounded out.
