The Albuquerque Isotopes had to overcome a big game from El Paso shortstop Donovan Montero to leave Isotopes Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-5. Montero went 2-2 with a double and 2 walks. Albuquerque bumps their record to 45-47 with the win.

Left Fielder Ericson Beyleveld made an impact for Albuquerque, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Akira Stevens in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Beyleveld went 2 for 5 with a double.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Beyleveld, "one at-bat at a time."
