The El Paso Chihuahuas scored a convincing win at Field of the Edge, defeating the Edmonton Edge, 12-3. One of the hitting stars was 24-year old catcher Matthew Davis who was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. El Paso pitcher Bobby Schultz got the win, upping his record to 2-9. Laurencio Hedgspeth got the loss.

The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Davis hit a 3-run home run off Laurencio Hedgspeth. It propelled the Chihuahuas into the lead, 6-3.

"Nice to score a bunch of runs," said Davis after the game.

The Chihuahuas, at 38-52, sit in 8th place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.
