Isotopes Bedevil Triplets, 2-1
|
In a low-scoring game between the Albuquerque Isotopes and the Evansville Triplets, pitcher Bill Murray was the difference-maker. The Albuquerque right-hander was tough as nails in the 2-1 Isotopes win. The win was credited to 29-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Gallagher in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Jorge Diaz took the loss. The 6th-place Isotopes are now 44-47, the Triplets 46-45.
Luke Martin, who is tied for 9th in the PCL in hits with 94, had a direct impact on the outcome. Martin contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Albuquerque up, 2-1.
Martin told reporters after the game: "Took some doing, but we got it done."
