Rainiers Suffer 3-1 Setback
|
River Cats Ballpark was the site of a tense game between the Tacoma Rainiers and Sacramento River Cats.
Sacramento River Cats starter Jordan Singletary was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Tacoma Rainiers, 3-1. The winner was Singletary. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was R.J. Torres.
The River Cats had to work out of trouble with one out in the top of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Sacramento. But Tacoma, with a runner on 1st, had mounted a threat. Rod Zaino dug in at the plate. But on a 1-2 fastball, Zaino struck out.
Sacramento is now 49-37, Tacoma 48-38.
