Honolulu Beats Omaha, 6-5
|
Omaha first baseman Vic Berumen was sensational. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Honolulu beat the Storm Chasers, 6-5. The winning pitcher was Zach Graham. He tossed 90 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. Honolulu bumps their record to 40-46 with the win.
The ThunderSharks got a big at-bat from first baseman R.J. Aragaki. For the game, Aragaki was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Honolulu a 4-2 lead.
Honolulu manager Jimmy Anderson was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
