Omaha Funk Reaches 7 Games
|
The Honolulu ThunderSharks defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers, 8-2. Doing his part was left fielder Tracy Dyer, who went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ethan Hogge was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 1 run on 8 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts. Picking up the save was Ean Carroll, his 1st.
Honolulu first baseman Noah Hatfield contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 71st hit of the season and put the ThunderSharks ahead, 4-1.
"Winning never gets old," said Hatfield.
