Sounds Lose, 7-4
The Edmonton Edge defeated the Nashville Sounds, 7-4, in part because of first baseman J.T. Simpson. Simpson went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Edge. Shannan Cummins collected save number 7. Edmonton, at 48-37, occupies second place in the Pacific Coast League American Divison.

Cayden Cowley delivered a big hit for Edmonton. The shortstop drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Edge ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Simpson told the Edmonton Observer.
