Morrison Whacks 2 Home Runs in 4-1 Win
|
Maddox Morrison led the Victoria HarbourCats to a nifty 4-1 win over the Tacoma Rainiers. The Victoria first baseman was a force of nature. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Robert Tipton picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-2. He struck out 4 in 7 innings. At 52-34, Victoria is in second place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.
With Victoria leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Morrison came up to bat against Tacoma pitcher Cápulet Jaramillo. Morrison hit a fastball to center for a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season put the HarbourCats on top, 2-0.
Morrison told the Victoria Daily News: "Don't care what other people think. Maddox knows who Maddox is."
