White Sox Lose, 6-3
|
Solomon Ding left his imprint on the 6-3 San Francisco win against the Chicago White Sox. Ding, who is tied for 4th in the WEST in triples with 4, went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Donnie Rank. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. The left--hander struck out 3 and walked 3. Arturo Frank earned the save for San Francisco, his 11th.
One of the key players for the Giants was right fielder Zavier Austin, who drilled a double in the top of the first inning. For the game, Austin was 1 for 5 with a double, while scoring 2.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Austin told the San Francisco Citizen. "Whatever it takes."
San Francisco is now 25-26, Chicago 27-24.
