Conlan Melton was locked and loaded, helping the Edmonton Edge beat the Inland Empire 66ers, 2-1. The 7th-place Edge bumped their record to 38-46.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Edge had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when second baseman Steve Walker hit a run-scoring single. The single came off V.J. Olaroia and made the score 2-1, Edge. Walker was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles.

"Conlan is a gamer," said Edmonton manager Aarón Lomeli.
