The Inland Empire 66ers beat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 7-2. Inland Empire pitcher and Saint-Jérôme, Canada, native Will Fontaine led the way. The loss makes Omaha 20-63.

Inland Empire used the timely hitting of Lance Nellans to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the 66ers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I like the groove we're in," said Nellans.
