|
The El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the Tucson Sidewinders, 6-2, in Pacific Coast League action at Southwest University park. El Paso pitcher Adam Pearson had a standout performance. Pearson, now 1-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 8, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. El Paso raised its record to 47-37 with the win.
In the bottom of the seventh, El Paso designated hitter Kyle Hudson had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Hudson stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 6-2, El Paso. For the game, he was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Hudson told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
