The Honolulu ThunderSharks soundly defeated the Reno Aces, 13-2, at Smith's Ballpark. Corey Bishop let his bat do the talking. He went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for Honolulu. Honolulu pitcher Alfredo Escutia earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Jack Mazzetti suffered the loss. The last-place ThunderSharks bumped their record to 35-46.

A key moment came with one out in the bottom of the fifth. That's when Bishop hit a fastball from Jack Mazzetti for a 2-run single, putting Honolulu up, 5-2.

"We lit up the scoreboard," said Honolulu manager Neil Kuntz.
