Griffis Impressive in Albuquerque Win
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Albuquerque Isotopes and the Nashville Sounds, pitcher Mick Griffis was the difference between victory and defeat. The Albuquerque left-hander earned accolades in the 2-0 Isotopes win. Earning his 12th save for Albuquerque was Logan Koenig. Albuquerque bumps their record to 39-45 with the win.
Griffis, now 8-4, scattered 2 hits over 7.1 innings for the Isotopes.
"The old adage is true," said Griffis. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
