The New Orleans Baby Cakes beat the Albuquerque Isotopes, 6-4, at Zephyr Field. Lavell Mack, who is tied for 10th in the PCL in home runs with 12, starred for New Orleans. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. New Orleans reliever Oscar Spuck got the win, raising his record to 5-2. Yorick George was tagged with the loss. New Orleans goes to 45-32, Albuquerque to 38-39.

Mack had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count slider from Yorick George, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Baby Cakes a 6-4 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Mack.

"I was able to square up some pitches," said Mack.
