Despite the rain, the fans at Blues Stadium enjoyed a good ballgame.
Aces third baseman Wyatt Popp left his imprint on his team's 3-2 win over the New Orleans Baby Cakes. Popp went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk for Reno in the contest. Osmond Walker snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-1 on the season. Mike Mears suffered the loss.
Reno took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Norm Kucera hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Aces.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Aces manager Ross Winfrey.
The 8th-place Aces hiked their record to 33-45.
