HarbourCats Make It 8 Straight Losses

The Inland Empire 66ers scooped up a win at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, dumping the Victoria HarbourCats, 5-2. Zenaido Mejia was essential to his team's success. Brendan Smith picked up the save for Inland Empire, his 13th of the year. Victoria, at 33-47, has lost 8 straight.
D.J. Stewart, who is tied for 4th in the PCL with a .553 slugging percentage, helped out the Inland Empire cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles.
"Different night, same tune, unfortunately," said losing manager Ricky Ugalde.
