3-0 Triumph Takes Inland Empire to 47-26
|
In a well-pitched game between the Inland Empire 66ers and the Round Rock Express, pitcher Bruno Hall was superb. The Inland Empire right-hander helped his team win, 3-0. Hall picked up the win for Inland Empire, going 5.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 6-4. The second-place 66ers have won 5 consecutive games.
Kiyoharu Nakabayashi had a big 2-run home run for the 66ers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Inland Empire leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a changeup from Bill Prisby and swatted a home run to right. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the 66ers ahead, 3-0.
"This team is on a mission," said Hall, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
